Health & Beauty

The Basics. Five things to remember.

The basic 5 things to remember

  • Ideally, Health & Beauty should be located in the first third of your store to maximise footfall opportunities. 1 in 5 convenience shoppers don’t know that their local convenience store stocks health & beauty so ensure the category is clearly signposted
  • Merchandise sub-categories together to make it easier for the shopper to navigate and find what they are looking for e.g. men’s toiletries, hair care, oral care and bathing products together on fixture
  • Where possible ensure Feminine Care is separated from men’s toiletries
  • Health & Beauty should be clearly differentiated from the rest of the store.  Creating a different look and feel can be achieved by simply using different coloured shelf stripping or key visuals
  • Clear product details and pricing is important to closing the sale. Ensure shelf-edge labels are up to date and under the relevant product on fixture
