Offering up to seven days protection against persistent dandruff

Head & Shoulders has unveiled a new product range, Clinically Proven Solutions, to effectively tackle persistent and stubborn dandruff.

Clinically Proven Solutions offers up to seven days protection against problematic scalp issues, giving people superior efficacy without compromising on hair that feels and smells great. The shampoo includes a unique fragrance technology so users receive the benefits of a product with selenium sulphide and with a fresh scent.

Available now in the pharmacy channel, the Clinically Proven Solutions Anti-Dandruff or Scalp Relief Shampoo is recommended for those already using anti-dandruff products, but who need additional relief for persistent dandruff.

Clinically Proven Solutions contains 1% selenium sulphide, which targets the source of persistent dandruff, Malassezia Globosa. Nine out of 10 dermatologists would recommend selenium sulfide as an effective treatment against dandruff[1]. The new range produces noticeable results, offering a faster speed of dandruff relief compared to other traditional anti-dandruff shampoos.

Fiona Mullally, Assistant Brand Manager at Head & Shoulders, said: “In the UK, 50% of people suffer from scalp issues[2], and 10% of these battle with stubborn dandruff every day[3]. Pharmacists should take into consideration that dandruff can be embarrassing for people and difficult to get rid of.

“Clinically Proven Solutions can help those with persistent severe and stubborn dandruff, containing selenium sulphide and sulphur-blocking technology. Scalp care is a destination category in pharmacies, so it is vital to ensure good visibility in store so customers are able to find the correct product for them.”

The complete range is available nationwide. Clinically Proven Solutions Scalp Relief Shampoo and Anti-Dandruff Shampoo have a recommended RRP of £7.99 (250ml) and £4.99 (130ml)*.
